Сравнивая отношения Китая и России с Ассоциацией государств ЮгоВосточной Азии (АСЕАН), авторы показывают, что из партнёров по диалогу и Пекин, и Москва превратились в стратегических партнёров АСЕАН, расширяя горизонты сотрудничества. Направления взаимодействия обоих государств с АСЕАН в основном совпадают, но масштабы и глубина связей на конкретных участках разнятся. Китай – главный торговый партнёр АСЕАН, а Россия более успешно сотрудничает с АСЕАН в области обороны и безопасности.
Comparing relations between China and Russia with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the author shows that from dialogue partners both Beijing and Moscow have turned into strategic partners of ASEAN, expanding the horizons of cooperation. The directions of interaction of both states with ASEAN basically coincide, but the scale and depth of ties in specific areas differ. China is ASEAN’s main trading partner, while Russia is more successful in cooperating with ASEAN in the area of defense and security.
