В статье рассматриваются действия властей США по разработке политики конверсии, принятие соответствующих программ и их законодательное оформление, анализируются проблемы, с которыми столкнулась конверсия в США, и её противоречивые результаты.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>According to the author, the experience of converting the US defense industry after the Cold War can be used in the implementation of conversion in Russia.
