Принцип (критерий) правого дела в совокупности с пятью другими принципами составляет концепцию jus ad bellum, определяющую право на начало ведения войны в рамках теории справедливой войны. В настоящее время теория справедливой войны оказывает существенное влияние на политику и право мирового сообщества.

The principle (criterion) of just cause, in conjunction with five other principles, constitutes the concept of jus ad bellum, which defines the right to go to war within the framework of the just war theory. At present, the just war theory has a significant impact on the policy and law of the world community.
