Автор отмечает естественно-исторический характер глобализации, связывая интернационализацию производства, обмена и распределения с развитием европейской экономики и Великими географическими открытиями. Несправедливый характер глобализации подпитывался существованием «традиционных» колониальных империй (Британской, Французской, Голландской и др.). Распад «либерального мирового порядка» в начале XXI в. поставил вопрос о некоем субституте глобализации в виде регионализации мирового пространства.

The author notes the natural-historical nature of globalization, linking the internationalization of production, exchange and distribution with the development of the European economy and the Great Geographical Discoveries. The unfair nature of globalization was fueled by the existence of «traditional» colonial empires (British, French, Dutch, etc.). The collapse of the «liberal world order» at the beginning of the 21st century raised the question of some substitute for globalization in the form of regionalization of world space.
