Military-political contacts of Spain and the United States (1948-1950). In conditions of diplomatic isolation of F. Franco’s regime

Abstract
The author examines how the US and Spain sought to establish military and political contacts after World War II, when Madrid was denied admission to the UN because of its close cooperation with the “Axis” countries. The aim of the US was to use Spanish territory for military bases and later to admit Spain to NATO.
