The systemic crisis of Russian football: where is the way out?

Abstract
The author notes that football is not just a sport, but a social and even political phenomenon that requires special treatment. After the fiasco of the national team at the Euro 2020 championship (played in 2021), Russian football is once again at a crossroads. The question is again topical: what to do? The article analyzes in detail the causes of the crisis in national football, states the need to develop a comprehensive long-term program for its development, formulates specific proposals for inclusion in such a program.
