The role of Russia in the Astana format

Abstract
The Astana format is an unprecedented format of cooperation in the Middle East, uniting three different states: Iran, Russia and Turkey. The article discusses the problems and prospects of negotiations in Astana. Special attention was paid to the 18th meeting, when the topics discussed went beyond issues related exclusively to Syria.
