Journal History

The scientific and analytical journal "Obozrevatel-Observer" was established by the research company "RAU-University" in 1992 (12 issues per year). Since 2014 it has been published by the Institute of CIS countries. Since 2023, 6 issues of the journal are published per year.

The journal publishes scientific and analytical materials covering the problems of domestic, foreign and military policy, economics, law, sociology, demography, science, history, culture.

The scientific and analytical journal " Obozrevatel-Observer" is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific editions of the Higher Attestation Commission, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate of sciences and for the degree of doctor of sciences should be published in the following branches of science and specialties:

More than 200 scientific books have been published on the basis of the journal or as supplements to it, including: "Modern Political History of Russia" (2 volumes, a number of editions), "Security Management of Ergasystems", "Investments in Russia and Foreign Countries", "Revival of the Volga River – a Step to the Salvation of Russia" (3 volumes), "Social Ecology", "Life Beyond the Earth", "The Supreme Mind and the Universe", "Russia on the Threshold of the 21st Century", "National Security of Russia", "Military Doctrine of Russia", "Central Russian Region: Problems and Prospects", "The Glory of the Fatherland", as well as (a series of textbooks in 6 volumes, recommended by the Department of Educational Programs and Standards of General Education of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation for senior classes of secondary schools, Suvorov and Nakhimov schools and cadet corps), "Russia and Chechnya", "Consolidation of Russia's Financial Resources", "Transformation of the Capital Market in Russia", "Adjara", "Portugal and the Muslim World", "Central Asia in the System of International Relations" and others.
