Supranational European legislation and mechanisms have a significant impact on the management of migration processes in Western European countries, however, the national model of migration policy, geographical location, and the level of cooperation with countries of departure are of no less importance. In the article, the author will identify the main problems of managing migration processes, outline the prospects and offer recommendations for improving its efficiency.
