Why wasn’t Vietnam’s independence recognized?

Abstract
The author attempted to answer the question of why the leading countries of the anti-fascist coalition did not recognize Vietnam’s independence in September 1945. It is shown that the leaders of the «Big Three,» preoccupied with solving postwar problems in Europe, did not prevent France from regaining control over the peoples of Indochina.
