Abstract

On January 10, 12, 13, 2022, in Geneva – Brussels – Vienna on the unprecedentedly persistent initiative of Russia were held bilateral Russian-American, and then multilateral – with NATO and the OSCE – negotiations on strategic stability, the totality of which focused on the red lines of national security of Russia. The very fact that these negotiations were being held at the insistence of Russia, to which the United States and its allies reacted so quickly, and by diplomatic standards, instantly, clearly indicates the increased geopolitical status of Russia. Russia now participates not only in the implementation of the international agenda, but also in its active formation.

The paper analyzes the military-political practice and state policy in Russia’s relations with Western countries, the use of means of countering the subjects of power policy engaged in activities that pose a threat to national security.

Abstract

Using the example of Laos and Nepal, the article analyzes Beijing’s policy in the Asia-Pacific region. The choice of incidents is determined by the level of economic development of the countries and the factor of geographic proximity. Laos and Nepal are some of the poorest countries in the region, but with a different resource base and development dynamics, which makes certain adjustments to Beijing’s plans. The analysis made it possible to identify the dialectics of Chinese influence technologies – the skillful use of economic methods to consolidate their presence in the countries of the world.

The article presents the author’s vision of the evolution of British foreign policy towards the Russian Federation. It draws attention to how during the Conservative governments in power (in the second decade of the 21st century) there was a change in the country’s foreign policy course, the concept of «Global Britain» appeared, within which the vector of today’s British-Russian relations was defined.
